Fencing in Aberystwyth.

In 2000, a number of people expressed a desire to either try the sport, or for those who had fenced before, have the opportunity to fight in the town. A venue was found and equipment hire secured. As the club developed it out-grew its old venue and in October 2002 moved to Plas Crug leisure centre. Late 2002 saw the provision of lottery funding and a council grant, with which the club finally acquired its own equipment. Funds were enhanced following sponsorship by the Coopers Arms. In 2004 additional funding was provided by the Millennium Stadium Charitable Trust. In 2006 the club moved to its current venue at Penweddig School.
